Persons employed in the Company's investment,
not liable to the ordinary criminal process. C. 4.
and 5. §. 10.
In cases where manufacturers are employed
by several parties, other than the company,
they shall deliver goods according to priority
of engagement. §. 11.
When a decree may be passed against a
person employed in the Company's investment,
on an engagement subsequent to the origin of the
party's dealings with the Company, it shall provide
for the prior satisfaction of the Company's claims.
Before execution of any decree against a person
registered as employed in the Company's investment
the Judges shall require the Commercial Resident —
First, To state whether, at the time of
the engagement decreed, the party were in the
employ of the company — Second To state whether
the Company have any and what claim
on him — Third To prove such claim. The claim
of the Company shall be first made good out
of the Defendant's property, whose person shall not
be liable to attachment for the claim of the individual.

The
* The immunities which those who deal with the
Company enjoy are more extensive than those
which were meant to be granted. The books of the
Commercial Residents afford a ready asylum to
all persons desirous of defrauding their creditors.
It is not a slight evil that the true construction
of the judicial rules applicable to persons
dealing with the Company is doubted. Some
have contended, perhaps truly, that it was not
intended to give any immunity to the individual,
or privilege to the Company, in cases where the
