The first Loan for £800,000 produces to the Greeks the
net sum of £454:700
Out of this Loan they paid £80,000 for Interest & £16,000
toward the sinking fund. The amount remitted to Greece in
specie was £200 £298,700 in stores & ammunition £9900 – Payments
made in Greece for the relief of Missolonghi £2400,
£5000 for the expenses of the Deputation for 12 months (a most
unreasonable sum of £ paid to one of the Deputies (Orlando)
in his private account £5900 – for sundry Prepayment of a
Loan made by Lord Byron to the Greeks £4000 – Sundry
expenses £5,300 & a Balance a sum of £27,500 was paid over
to the amount of the new Loan by as the balance of the old.
It is very clear that the whole of these Loan
