The Greek Committee have thus reported to their
constituents the progress of their labors – & for the details of the distribution
of the funds entrusted to them they refer to the accounts
which are annexed to. Tho' these amount is inconsiderable
they feel that that those funds have been the instruments
of much good benefit, and in rendering an account of their
stewardship they hope that economy & discretion will
be found to have regulated their conduct They know that and that under
existing circumstances there will no injudicious appropriation
will be discovered. No doubt With larger means they
might undoubtedly have accomplished more extensive good.
