Węgierski
On thro' the streets in dashing fury
Driven more by fashion than by hurry
A dandy urged his foaming horses
With all his whipping, flogging forces –
'Out of the way' he cried – & he
Who parted to scamper hastily.
He named called by every bitter name
That an indignant thought could frame
Changed he his course – or checked his steed
That was a special grace indeed!
Once O'er a mendicant poor beggar once he drove him
And after laugh'd – then ventured to reprove him
I saw – & thought – 'Tis well – but 'twill
Soon change its face & finish ill
