Is it from necessity but from fashion
A young dandy drove in a hurry
Thro' the streets – the horses foamed
He flogged them – with all his force
'Out of the way' he cried, threatening with whip & stick
And he committed a sin
Who did not instantly make his retreat
And he thought he made conferred a great show favor
When he turned a little aside
It wanted little He had nearly crushed a beggar
And with irony he laughed at him
Who drove farther I said to myself thought silently He will at last finish ill
And there will not passed a month
Ere he will drive over & crush the people
But when he used so to drive
And frightened the old & the young
He, at last, entered a new world
