Miss Guzdralska.
A Tale from the 13th Century.

(See Bayki i fawiesci p 124 Tam II

An ancient Chronicle, mangled and torn
In which many a page was
Written under the reign of Casimir the Monk
But as I opine from different observations
Belonging to ages must much late by far
Gives us the following tale

On a very pleasing Spot, near the Town Lenczyca
Was a Seal of a Nobleman.
How that spot was called I can not tell
For it was difficult not impossible to find it out
In a Mr. that long lay neglected in a coffer
And was excedeingly corroded by the moth
It was Only after a waste of eyes and labour
That by I detected by with the aid of those glasses which are called Microscopes
Which hundred times magnify the objects seen
And I must detected it I must own with great excessive satisfaction –
That the above Nobleman was had been a Truchses
And had every good hope prospect to become next the a Server of the Crown
That he was excessively rich
Had many villages, palaces, and splendid stores
But this is here of little consequence – His greatest pride
and Boast was his that he had a daughter, who was fair fair
And
Gifted with richly by bountiful nature
With all the charms that make the Ladies of Objects of Admiration and love
Her talents accomplishments All in her attracted the hearts
In So much so, that not only from Lenczyca
But from the whole neighbourhood.
What did I say, from the whole country
At the fame of her accomplishments
The youths flocked together thither.
And At the first interview every there was no one
Who did not fall in love, – and for exceedingly in love.
