"There never was is lack of roses with us
With roses dress the maiden
Roses are thus given to lovers
Roses fill well every boy's head."
"Wherefrom is Thy roses who fill these well "—
"My love gave them to me"—
"And thus sang, where hast though heard learned it"—
"I heard any love sing it."—
So when the youth said
A blush covered his cheeks
He turned his blue eyes aside
And sent a sigh to his maid
And again the same tune he plaid—
If reached through grave and grove
So happy is he to whom his a love maid
gave a rose and taught a song
