Note – It would be a curious and important addition to the
history of the last events in Europe to know the Biographies
of some of these distinguished military characters, which were
published in Polish splendidly in folio with the Engravings of

was a the University of Warsaw assigned a prize
some about 3 years ago. It must have been written
and printed till this time. It would have been
better, had that Biography been printed at
the very creation of that present Kingdom of Poland

so much restricted as it is now. Some periodical writings
on political subjects gave umbrage to the government
the consequence of which was the restrictions laid upon the press
Some of these writings when suppressed used to reappear under another title. Now we think that the restriction on the press must still greater; as the government not hesitates to inquire into the Brown letters in the
