If you do me the question which is the national spirit
of the Poles? I would answer. That which has manifested
itself in the succession of centuries; and
which has been nurtured by their liberal
laws – which they have shown in the establishment
of the new constitution of the 3rd of May in the year 1791
which was rendered uneffectual by the usurpers –
(the spirit) which they have shown by the sacrifices
and of their goods fortunes, and lives after
the partition. – and which their present improved
state plan of the education nor developing shall extending on the peasantry
seems to inculcate into their minds – Patriotic
and which the Patriotic feelings given by
