O Tommy Moore! O Tommy Moore
How insecure is human bliss!
You've often been in scraps before
But ne'er in such a scrape as this

"Disgusting language" – O how oft
You have been pardon'd this of you
And how you laugh'd & how you scoff'd
When call'd to order Tommy Moore!

But you are caught, & Mr. Coombs
When black & bleeding at the nose
her head all perfume
her thorn nor rose

But in the watch-box, you have pass'd
A weary night – & doubtless you
Have thought of all your sins at last
And thinking, have repented too.

O Tommy Moore! O Tommy Moore!
Give up
