Dear Blaquiere

The point of the Epigram p21 can
hardly be preserved

When proud D'Aiguillon race looking around him
Saw that the storm grew dark & serious
He fled to Linquet's den – & found him
Apologising for Tiberius.

"Well! Now said the Breton tyrant sighing
"Your help – your eloquence I claim," –
"Well! said the other – swift replying –
You can be

"I want your wisdom & your wit"
The tyrant Breton said – "to save me
"You've really made a lucky hit
I was but practising a bit
And now I'm ready when you'd have me
