thing in the locality of heaven?

Whether mind is what some call immaterial –
incorporeal – a gap – an etherial essence, invisible, impassable
inexplicable – or a peculiar organization, or modification
of matter I know not – & imagine it will never be
known so as to remove doubt & discussions hereafter.
But the matter is indestructible – that, however its
form may change its character continues the same – I
see no reason to doubt.
