I see the yellow daffodils Effects scenery
Great as they passed the sunny rills
Whose bright & golden ripples
Returned the courtesies again
As if a thought – a soul – a sense
Had link'd them in intelligence –
Who knows what secret sympathy
Between the flowers & streams might be?
I see beside a quiet brook
Some primrose tufts serenely look
And linger on its face awhile –
Like friends reflecting friendship sweet
