Three fold is varied flight:
The futures comes on lingering – slow –
Swift as an arrow hurries now
And the past is still as eternal night.
No impatience ever prest it
When it chooses to delay:
Fear, doubt, prayer could ne'er arrest it
In its swift determined way:
All – all Sorrow – pangs & witchery's craved
Taken Idle, when it wills to stand.
Would Wouldst thou were & happy be on thy pilgrimage
Be thy fully remage Ne'r let wisdom – bliss miscarry –
Causel when its moments tarry
Then no deed thy powers engage
When it flies – its friendships ever –
When its stays its Slaying thy opponent never
