Seine! proudly let thy fleeting waters roll;–
Along thy beautiful banks meanderer I yield my soul

The queen of cities. To my eyes that grieve
In vain does flower-crowned nature smile, –
The courting breeze that glides in across the plain
Renewed this youth – decorated arrived clad universe – my tears Is pale & wan
