God thro' whom, in whom we live,
Gives us all 'tis right to give
Knows our strength – our burden weighs
When we see Him not, He walks
Where we hear Him not, He talks
Gently talks in words like these:
'Mortals, who my children are
Children of my love & care
Earth Here is not your resting place
Brighter, lovlier scenes art yours
Fairer suns & sweeter flow'rs –
Garlands for your earthly race
See those garlands – Win that fight –
Hasten to your seats of light
Seats where streams of glory flow
Streams have have in heaven their source
Yet in their eternal course
Light our earthly vales below.
