I neither have will your progress
Nor t' unveil my Soul's recess
Why should I then my griefs unmask –
The Soul knows its own bitterness
Why should I tell them that my eye
Which joyous mules oft are to dress
Oft in secret misery
Till blinded by interests
Why should I tell them it at a heart
That man to spring so gay & free
Is torn by many an
And bear its agony
Most- mortals! let them deem
If Tis light within so brightly beaming
Tis all fallacious – it but seems
Man's heart is made but factitious seeming.
