O let such thoughts & such hopes my pilgrimage attend attend me still
Breathing heaven's odors o'er my onward way
Such be the fire that lights me up the hill
Such the fair prospects of a dawning day.
Roll on – roll swiftly fleetest impetuously on – ye harrying weeks
That time is sweetest which mist grow steps rolls swiftly on;
And blest the moment which while passing speaks
'Enjoy'd – improved – best well spent – for ever gone!

My spirit was formed – & thither I aspire:
Let not the cold damps of a world like this
Chill the name kindlings glow of thee aspires hopes enkindling fire
Thy peace triumphant in my breast
Thy love my guide, Thy throne my North Start be – & thy love my guide
My faith the purest, wisest, holiest;
Fixed on eternity – upheld by Thee
And thus I close the week – & thus commend
My Spirit to the guidance of Thy will:
