number of deaths expected to have taken place at the end of the year to be
to the number of persons living at the commencement
of the said year as one 1 to 25, this for the
the said intended number of 1000 prisoners to be deliver'd received at once will
make 40 deaths: £4,000 then will be the sum
which the said Jeremy Bentham will intended Governors will annually be made
creditors for on the supposition of the said 1000 his receiving the said
number of 1000 prisoners: and as he will have be to be made
debtors to the said amount of £100 for every one
which during the said period shall actually have
died, neither more nor less, he will be neither
gainer nor loser by the insurance: if, instead
of 40, 41, then he will be a loser to the amount
of £100; if instead of 40, 39, then a gainer
to the said amount. But £4000 for 1000 prisoners
is the same proportion as £4 for 1 prisoner:

to for which the said Jeremy Bentham contracting party <add>such intended Governor</add> will be
to be made creditor for in respect of <add>on account of</add> each prisoner when on the day when delivered
