The engagement agreement on one side part to receive transmit it and on another
part to receive it, did not on either part oblige gentlemen
to act according to it, there it has lain for above these
eight years. Afterwards such was their candour, not
only over and over in private but in public gentlemen were pleased to
declare that the what was therein prayed was the very thing thus (what beyond
a doubt) ought to have been done: they had however taken care
