N. S. Wales

A phenomenon like this — The population of a whole
Colony — and that one a favourite an infant Colony —
devoted all in a body to the infernal Gods — a phenomenon
thus extraordinary must, like every other have
had its cause. What can have been that cause?
Can it have been oversight? — Is it possible that an omission, such
as this could have escaped notice? — sure not to found

An expedition sent out for founding — sent out to found a Colony —
and not so much as the ordinary assortment of the necessary provis means of
self preservation, sent out with it? No: — nor in a
period of above fourteen years ever sent out since?
No one the of all not amongst all the 'improvements' that have been made there? [+]
[+] Under any human degree of blindness and incapacity,
is it possible that such an
omission, such as this, could have escaped notice?

I see Your Lordship under some perplexity —
I hasten to relieve it.
