you are May be sure of him: to demonstration he has all the fitness that can
be given by good will, as well as he has all the fitness that
can be given by experience: practice: [+] [+] he has all the fitness

affection for the duties.

For a plan which has
both sweets and duties, the affection of a candidate
may be either for the sweets or for the duties: for one a
which plan has nothing but duties, it can be for nothing
but the duties.

With what hope could any such proposition be
made to Lord Pelham? — What he wants, is —
a gentleman who will pocket the pay: what he does
not want — what he will not look for — what
he will not so much as bear to look at — to speak
to, or to think of, is — a gentleman whose affection
is for the duties. What Lord Pelham he wants is — whatever the
gentleman on the other side the wainscot wants. What
the gentleman on the other side the wainscot is —
let experience speak it —

In the first place, salary for the accommodation of his

pensions Salary — and upon that that the Inspectorship of the
