Now therefore it is hereby covenanted and agreed
by and between the said parties, that if the said
Jeremy Bentham &c shall permitt the said Benjamin
Hodges quietly to retain until the 25th of June 1801 his possession of
the Leaselots the premises, or such part of the said premises as he
holds or Lease, untill the 25th of June 1801
that then and in that case he the said Benjamin
Hodges shall a and will in lieu of he said sum
of £3000 accept the reduced sum of £2500: if to
untill the 25th of Dec 1801, then the farther reduced
sum of £2000 and so on, according to the
Table given in the Schedule marked A and
hereunto annexed.

And it is hereby further covenanted and agreed
that the said Jeremy Bentham &c shall not call
upon the said Benjamin Hodges c shall not be
obliged to quit possession of the said Leasehold part
of the said premises earlier than on the said 25th of
March 1801, nor shall he at any time during
the continuance of the he the term comprized in the said Lease be obliged to
quit possession without one full half year's previous
notice at the least: nor shall the said Jeremy
Bentham &c be obliged to pay in respect of
such right interest and damage as aforesaid
or any part thereof, any sum greater than the sum
in that behalf specified in the said Table:
nor to pay any thing sum or sums whatsoever to the said Benjamin
Hodges otherwise other in any other sum than what shall be due
respectively due in the event of his quitting possession⊞ ⊞ at the several periods respectively indicated in the said Table. of the said premises

And & it is moreover agreed that so long as
the said Benjamin Hodges be shall continue in possession
as aforesaid, the Covenants in the said Lease continue
shall remain good and in force on both sides, so far as may be consistent with the agreement and the said Contract above-mentioned.
