Form of Contract

Memorandum of a Contract and or Agreement
entered into between
and Jeremy Bentham of Queen's Square Place
Westminster Esquire Feoffee of the Estate at Milbank
Westminster late the property of the Marquis of Salisbury
and since purchased by the said Jeremy Bentham
as Feoffee under the Act of the 7th July 1794:
being the 34th G. 3. c. 84.

Whereas in and by the said Act it is provided
among other things that if

Satisfaction in money or otherwise shall be made to
such Occupiers for their reg respective rights and interests
in and to such Spot of Ground.

And whereas the said
is one of the Occupiers of the said
to wit as Lessee

And whereas the said
hath delivered an account in what he claims as the value of
his right and interest viz the sum of as aforesaid, inasmuch as
his surrender of such his right and interest at the
time specified in the said notice will be attended productive
with damage to him the said
to the amount of the said Sum of
as appeareth by the Schedule or Estimate hereunto annexed
(marked A being containing an account of the several particulars
of which the said sum total of is composed

But if the
said Jeremy
Bentham should
not offer pay
or tend
on the said 25th
day of this instance
March pay or
tender to the said
John Hodges
the said sum of
£.s.d. as in
the said Contract
mentioned, that
then and in that
case it shall be
lawful to the said
Hodges to
continue on in
the possession of
the premises untill
the 29th of
Septr then next
ensuing, in which
case in consideration
of such permission,
he the
said Hodges
shall abate deduct
fro his said
full demand
of £
the sum of £
having the sum
of £
which shall thereupon
become payable
by him on
the said 29th
day of Septr.
