And that if he should in like manner be permitted to retain such his
possession until the 25th of March 1801 (being the day on which his said
Lease expires) then and in that case he shall not be entitled to receive the
said compensation money or any part thereof but shall quit the premises gratis.
And it is further covenanted and agreed that if the said John Donne
&c shall not have been called upon to quit possession of the said Nursery
Ground on the said 25th of this instant March he shall not be obliged
to quit possession of the same earlier than on the said 29th of September
nor shall be at any time prior to the said 25th of March 1801 be obliged
to quit possession without {92 182} days notice at the least: —
And that if in virtue of any such notice he shall be obliged to quit
such his possession on any intermediate day between one quarter day and
another he shall receive by way of compensation money a ratioble sum in a
proportion taken from the sum payable as aforesaid on the quarter next
preceding such intermediate day. —
And it is hereupon moreover agreed that if the said John Donne
shall not have been called upon to quit possession of the said Nursery
Ground on the said 25th of this instant March he the said Jeremy
Bentham shall not be called upon for the payment of the said £500
or any part thereof on the said day: nor shall be be called upon for
the said sum or any part thereof on any subsequent day otherwise
than as is herein above mentioned. —
