Estimate of the Damage that will be sustained
by me Benjamin Hodges Distiller, at Milbank
Westminster on the supposition event of my being
obliged to quit my Premises Trade and Distilleryand Trade of the in
Estate late belong, of the Marquis of Salisbury in
pursuance of the Notice dated 1 March from
Jeremy Bentham Esqr Feoffee

obliged⊞1 ⊞1 in virtue of a Notice from Government dated the 1st of this instant March 1800, to surrender my interest in a Lease quit my possession of certain premises
of hold under a Lease parcel of the Estate late belonging to the Marquis
of Salisbury at Milbank Westminster under aforesaid.
pursuance of a written notice from Government dated the 1st of
this instant March 1800.

The Premises consist of a Distillery House,⊞2 ⊞2 (of which further on) with
a Distillery adjacent containing an apparatus
capable of distilling Four hogsheads per day per year
together with a Yard and Garden contain Rood 1 9 Perches as by the Government

Commencement of the Lease 24 June 1789
Expiration 25 Decr 1803
Duration of the Original term years 14 3/4
Term to come, from the 25th of this instant
March (being the day specified in the
said Notice) to give expiration of the
said Lease Years 3 3/4

1. Distillery

Laid out and expended at different times in Buildings, , and other such improvements on the premises as
I am not intitled to carry away, the same being laid
at out at such different times in which may be stated at an
average as if the whole had been laid out
in such manner as to have been compleated together and in the whole benefit of the improvements had commenced
on the
25 Decr 1793. Total money so laid out 2100:0:0
No of Years which under the Lease I should have
Profit had to reimburse myself for that expence – 10
Add profit that might have been expected
therefrom at £15 per Cent (interest
between 25 Decr 1793 & 15 Decr 1803 of money included) for the ten years – 315:0:0
