III. Loss upon the Dwelling House
The Dwelling House consists of be what was originally
two Houses, and which in the year 17
I laid into one. This House and the Distillery
being contiguous to each other and comprized
under one and the same Lease, (commencement and expiration as above)
I charge to the account of the House alone the
whole of the following Loss upon the Lease.
The annual value of it if by means the
improvements I have made in it I estimate
at £60. – £60
Deduct Rent paid by me to Mr Henry Foley,
my immediate Landlord – £40. – £40
Remains Rent – £20
This, multiplied by 3 3/4 (the number of
years to come under the Lease as before, makes
the amount of my loss on this article £75
Rent payable to Mr Foley, as before £40
This multiplied by 3 3/4 as before
makes the amount of loss on this article £150
Being bound by virtue of the said
Lease bound to pay to Mr Foley the
said sum of £40 a year in respect
of which obligation I shall continue
bound notwithstanding my giving up my
Lease to Government, the above loss to the amount of
the said £150 will on that footing be sustained
by me, consequently that is the
sum I shall on that footing claim to
receive of Government to indemnify me
from that loss. But if Government takes
upon itself to pay to the said Mr Foley the
said
