Panopticon Narrative

Now But although to my copy of this same mass

person standing as in the character of an authenticating
signature, it is by no means a
necessary consequence that in the original
manuscript paper, as delivered in to the House
of Commons, the same omission should be visible stand expressed: (as in all the other doc communications Reports from the same source after the class of exceptions abovementioned)
The omission, supposing i real, would
to be afford matter of observation, such as
in my case presents itself as being of no inconsiderable
importance. The instances of the omission Thus it is, that the

character on respect the score of veracity and probity inasmuch as it may have been the result of a mere inadvertence – on the part of the Printer for example, or the person, if there be any such person whose office it may be to correct the press, on the part of the Honourable House –

perhaps ground of exculpation were although it upon inspection inquiry examination it
should turn out, that the omission deficiency in in the printed
copy was matter of accident, and that the my

no such deficiency exists upon the face of the original manuscript. But notwithstanding
this, I cannot but flatter myself Sir
that it will be regarded by you as no at least a becoming
a becoming and prudential and prudential, if not an indispensable caution on my part to observe – not
merely on account of so obscure an individual
as he who is thus troublesome to you, but on
account of the existence of the deficiency in my single copy alone, might of itself I should suppose so many illustrious persons as are
in another way concerned, that not to sent ouf of my hands any observations
which might eventually appear be thought injurious to them,
as by without the distinguished person or persons whose signature or signatures ought perhaps regularly to have been annexed and possibly was or were annexed.
