Letter II
The Savings such as could be made out of the
money were the fund and the only fund out of which
this part of the expence could be defrayed. If
the whole was not too great and it was pared down
as low as possible, the half would be too small by half.
2. To no inconsiderable portion of the building
does this same observation apply, and with equal
force. To the contract and characteristic part for example
1. the scene of visitation, the Inspector's Lodge: 2. to
the walls by which the would require to be
bounded: 3. to the walls by which the square in which
the building would be to be set down would be to be enclosed:
4. to the commanding turrets at two of the angles: on which occasion
may here be mentioned as another indivisible part of
the official establishment, the persons watchmen who would ha

which in the present stage of the business it would be equally difficult and unnecessary
