Savings – call to save for Permanent Panopticon
with little loss.
On the supposition proposed Even Supposing that the temporary Panopticon should
be discontinued immediately not be continued after the creation of the completion of the
permanent one
Even in the supposition that either on, or even before, the completion
of the permanent Panopticon, the use of the proposed temporary one
would be discontinued, the expence of it would not be
altogether lost. The As materials, the materials would
have more or less saleable value: and the consideration of such
value might be taken into account in the selection device of
them: wood or iron for example, or iron as far as it can be applied removeable with least loss: brick
not without more loss: lath and plaster, total loss. The
selection might have a professional Report to justify warrant it.
Of the four surrounding walls of the squares or parallelograms
one for example might perhaps be so situated, as to be capable
of constituting with or without addition to the height, of constituting one
of the walls of the permanent Panopticon: and if in the
square was a long square this might be taken for one square of parallelogram containing the temporary Panopticon one pair of sides were
of the longest sides longer than the other, the one of the
longer pair might be taken for this purpose.
