There remains yet one consideration
One consideration is yet behind, which, if
your Memorialist could suppose apprehend that after
what has been submitted to your Lordships have your Lordships
could reject or refuse or what mi would
soon come to the same thing defer compliance
with this his humble application, would at least be
sufficient to render him confident that your
Lordships would not take any such either part, without at least
being pleased to assign him determinate and without the allegation of production of adequate some
distinct and specific reason to the contrary. And that is that if after all
the reasons that have been submitted to your Lordships
on the one side⊞ ⊞ against such a procedure, no such reason were to be alledged exhibited in favour of it such reason to no cause were to be
assigned as justification of it produced in the other
given in the other, the deficiency might be supplied
by imputations highly injurious to your
Lordships justice, and to reflecting so great great dishonour
on that part of his Majesty's administration which is vested in your Lordships Lordships hands. That in particular
it might be suggested and however falsely,
yet with but too much colour of truth, that
the principal, if not only ground cause of such procedure
was the relation which the question was
known
