above referred to. Happily however it has no
longer any place. The 2 persons interested are,
the Archbishop of York in right of his See as
Tenant in fee Simple; and Earl Spencer as
Lessee for lives under a beneficial Lease. On the
part of his Grace no such reluctance ever subsisted,
your Memorialist is fully warranted in the
assertion, by a Letter with which he was honored
by his Grace at the first word, in a very
early stage of the Business, and which, if your
Lordships should be pleased so to order,
he is ready to produce. On the part of the
noble Earl it did at one time subsist, but, over
come doubtless by a sense of public duty, it very
happily gave way. For this purpose, in the absence
of the noble Earl, your Memorialist begs leave
to refer to your Lordship's Secretary Mr. Long, as
also to The Right Honourable Mr. Dundas, who,
after recognizing a message to that effect, as
given from him to Your Memorialist by Mr.

Memorialist in person by elogiume on his
