please your Lordships to appoint some Surveyor, who,
accompanied by Your Memorialist and any Surveyor of
his appointment, may be directed to examine the Land
on both sides of the said River below Bridge as far as
Woolwich, and hearing so done may report to Your
Lordships such situations as shall appear capable of
being purchased under the compulsive powers of the
said Act, with least inconvenience to the proprietors of
such ground and the grounds adjacent.
That in the mean time. and without delaying such
appointment as aforesaid, for the purpose of taking advantage
of any offers that might be voluntarily made,
by proprietors of such grounds as are capable of being
purchased under the powers of the said Act, it may
please Your Lordships to cause, with all convenient
speed, an advertisement to be inserted in the public
papers, of the tenor of the paper marked A and
hereunto annexed, or of such other tenor as it may
please Your Lordships to approve or to punish
in preference.
That, whether or no it shall be the pleasure of
Your Lordships to approve of both or either of the aforesaid
propositions, Your Memorialist, in the
humble hope and endeavour to see a period put
to the train of uncertainties and disappointments,
under which he has been labouring for so many years,
and in that view for the purpose of knowing before-hand
