dug out and made into Bricks and that no Clamp for burning
the Bricks so to be made shall be placed nearer to the aforesaid
Footpaths than the distance of 20 Yards Southward from the
Banks or Fence dividing the said Field and running Westward
fro the North end of the Hospital Garden and it is agreed
that the rent of £6 pr Acre and of 2s6d pr Thousand so
agreed to be paid shall be computed upon the measure of
the land not dug as to the said £6 pr Acre and upon
the Quantity of Bricks made and placed in the Hacks
and which shall be chargeable to the excise Duty as to the said
rent of 2s6d pr Thousand and the said B is to shew forth his
Field and other Books stating the Quantity of Bricks molded
and the excise account of Receipts to ascertain the same and
to pay the said rate by the 100,000 within 3 Months after
the same shall be chargeable to the Excise from the Hacks.
All the Ground to be so dug as to drain Southward to the
Common now making through the said Estate and
no Pools or receptacles for Water to be made except in such
places as shall be directed and so as not to injure the
Foundations of any Buildings to be Erected Provided that
if the said Governors shall lett or sell any Part of the said
Field for Buildings or shall make any Road or way through
the same before the same shall be dug hereinbeforementioned
or shall be desirous of Digging any Gravel or Sand in any
part not containing Brick Earth or from which the
Brick earth shall have been dug out and which shall
not be actually occupied by Hacks or Clamps they shall
be at Liberty to resume the same or the part to be occupied
by such Road upon one Months Notice to the said B and
paying him for any compost or Manure that may have
been
