would alarm
the public,
and induce a
suspicion that
the ill health

to the plague.

doing damage.

Airing Process

In the humid
the regularity
of the seasons
and the heat
of the sun may
render exposure
to the open Air
sufficient.

This will not
be sufficient
in England.
Vessels may arrive
in winter,
when for several
days there is
no Sun, & perhaps
continued
rain.

The Draught
should be regular
– not in sudden
gusts, which
would blow it
into close heaps
impervious to
the air.

The Airing-cage
should
fill up the
whole of the
admission-duct.

Would there
be any means
of drying the
Air
Air in damp
weather before
its entrance?

By Pearl-Ash,
so as to
fall into deliquium

In unpacking,
the dirtied part
