That by Lien and Release executed by
former Lord the said Marquis of Salisbury and dated
the 12th of the said month of October, Your
Memorialist in such his quality of Feofee
became purchaser of Houses Lands and Tenements the said Estate of the said Salisbury Estate
for the purpose of the Marquis of Salisbury as above-mentioned. situate at Milbank
aforesaid to the amount of 53 Acres 14 20
of in part of (as declared in the said Deed of
Appointment) of the Piece or Parcel of Ground
intended to be allotted for the purpose of the said
intended Penitentiary House under and by virtue
of the said Act.

That Your Memorialist, having by letter
from Mr Secretary Long dated the 18th 20th of February
last received Your Lordships directions
the sum of £12,000, being the consideration
money for the said purchase (subject however
to divers Leases at will and for years outstanding
thereon) being paid by the hands
of Your Memorialist a warrant for the said by warrant from
sum having been delivered to him by Your
D direction of Your Lordships out of the money
appropriated to the said Service by the said
Appropriation Act.
