time to the consideration of Your Lordships, that the
money which would be sufficient for the purchase of
a given quantity of land, is not (considering the nature
of the said intended Establishment) by any means
a full equivalent, for the possession of the land itself:
a point of which he is so fully convinced, that, for
any such quantity as Your Lordships should not (on
the considerations above mentioned) think fit to the
said Establishment gratis, he would gladly, supposing
the same to be purchased, make an allowance
at the rate of five per cent, upon the purchase money,
to be deducted out of such annual sum, as he would
otherwise have to receive, in virtue of his said intended
Contract.

Negotiation, for
buying out Leases, on
the Salisbury Estate —
Your Memorialist to mention, that, in obedience to
Your Lordships directions, bearing the date the 20th of February
last, Your Memorialist proceeded forthwith, to
treat for the buying out of the existing Leases, on the
said Salisbury Estate: — that he found no unwillingness
to treat, in the instances of any of the parties
concerned; and that, although it may be some time
yet before he may have it in his power to make a
compleat Report, relative to the whole amount of
their several claims, yet he has receivede the requisite
assurances
