anticipations of the result. — It may however be necessary
for him, on the present occasion, to report in general
terms, that, had the instructions, which, on his
application, Your Lordships Solicitor (in the evident
view of seeing the most effectual provision made for
the fulfilment of Your Lordships intentions, and of the
pleasure of Parliament in that behalf) had the
goodness to favour him with, been literally pursued —
viz: that the surrenders to be required of the several
interests in question should be "immediate and absolute"
— the indemnifications money, in respect of the
same, would, without any "exorbitancy of demand",
have amounted to several thousand pounds: — that
by far the heaviest part of the charge, arose out of
premises of small extent, the possession whereof, how
valuable soever the same might have been, to Your
Memorialist, would not be regarded as necessary, to
the said intended Establishment: — that, to save
the Public from that charge, Your Memorialist
has, without any indemnification, or hope of indemnification,
or other advantage, whatsoever, taken
upon himself to engage, that the surrender of the
outstanding term in the said said premises shall not be
insisted upon: — that, with regard to such parcels
of the said Estate as were held at Will, whether
immediately
