25 Jany 1812
The character in which the worthy Baronet was on
this occasion called on was that of Judge to form
a colour, the such as could be formed for the definitive concluding
breach of public faith with which it had been determined to conclude
a continued breach of faith which had already
been carrying on for about 17 years.
The individual thus employed put brought forward in the
character of Judge was himself in this very cause a party, a party
and by every person who had the honour of knowing him
known to be so. For the purpose thus here appears, my
plans and as contained in my book without any intimation given to that effect,
were put into his hands. Of his plans no such communication
was ever made to me. The worthy Baronet
in the character of an Oracle, the worthy Baronet was
examined to in relation to my plan, invited to make
his comments upon my plan to furnish reason
for setting aside my plan – examined in the manner that
has and will be seen. On the subject of my no plan of by his
own I ever examined. My His examination was an
examination in chief. Hence as may be seen was
a cross-examination, the same Honourable Gentleman
being Judge and Counsel returned on the other side.
