Penitentiary Bill
23 March 1812

Further proposed Amendments supposed to be
made to the Bill as amended – Order dated 13 March 1812.

1. Amendment 1. Page 3 line 10 After "and" omitt the
remainder of that line and part the whole of the next words
"any profit" to "claims" inclusive
and in lieu thereof insert
as follows | that the said the Jeremy and Samuel
Bentham respectively should moreover receive a liberal compensation
for all loss damage and suffering by them respectively
sustained by reason of the non-fulfilment thereof
deduction being made deducting from such claims made any
profits which the said Jeremy Bentham
