15 March 1812. Parliamentary Bill. Further proposed Amendments

Should the above Amendments be adopted the insertion of two others to
the following effect may, it is supposed, be thought advisable necessary
or proper.

7. Amendment 7th. Page 1, line 11. to the gross After "Premises" insert amounting in
the gross to between 52 and 53 acres

8. Amendment 8th Page 1, line 12 After "thereof" insert
dated the of October 1799.

Observation. The use of these insertions viz. that of the 1st is to
obviate the any objection that on the ground of imagined excess might be made to the provisional
temporary allowance of the utmost amount if it did not appear:
and that of the 2d to show the length of time during which
the premises have been suffered to be returned in the character
of a pledge, and during which the rent has been gradually
arising for rising to the present amount from no more than about half the amount.
To the latter purpose the average annual amount of the neat receipts
no more than between £400 and £500 a year might be
stated, if thought requisite.
