Scholars
And whereas ever since the institutionfoundation of his
Majesty's School at Westminster founded by Queen
Elizabeth of glorious memory the said Waste hath
under and the authority and by the allowance of
the said Dean and Chapter and without any
instruction as to the any particular part thereof
been accustomed to be made use of as a place
of exercise and recreation [+] by the Scholars of the + for Cricket and or
other sports requiring
a large extent of
ground to the amount
of diversseveral acres
said School of which benefits the said Scholars
would be deprived of provision were not herein
made for the continuance of the same in the
division and appropriation of the said Waste And whereas
the said Waste inbeing exposed to the intrusion being entirely open
and situated in
the near neighbourhood
of many mean
Houses
of promiscuous resort of mean loose and disorderly
company the allotment of a competent
and separate and inclosed spot of ground for
the said purpose in which the said Scholars
might be exempt from the intrusion of such
promiscuous and improper company might
be of adva for the benefit of the said Scholar
as well in point of comfort as of good morals
Be it further enacted that Lot the spot B described
in the Schedule B annexed to this Act Article B, of the Schedule herewith
annexed [+] shall be allotted to the said [+] containing about
eleven acres more
or less
Dean and Chapter and is hereby declared to
be the absolutesole and separate property of the said Dean and
Chapter in several fee separate ownership to be held by them in
