Survey—Resistance
§ 24
Power to Survey
lands—penalty
for resistance
as in case of the
Highway Act
And be it further enacted that for
the purpose of making surveys of any Lands
that may be purchased under the powers of
the said Act of the 7th of July 1794 it shall and may be
lawful to and for the said Feoffee or Feoffees [+] and
his or their Agents at any reasonable time to enter into and admeasure [+] the said Commissioners
or Arbitrators,
and their respective
Ar Surveyors or other
Agents or any of
them
make admeasurement of any such Lands
and as also of any other lands immediately contiguous
thereto thereto or to any portion of the said Waste And if any person or persons
"shall resist or make forcible opposiition against
"any person or persons making any such survey or otherwise employed in the due
"execution of this Act" or of the said Act" or of the said Act of
the 7th July 1794 every such person so
resisting or making opposition may be proceeded
against and shall forfeit and suffer in the same manner as any
person resisting or making forcible opposition
against the said Act of the 13th year of his
reign of Majesty' reign's concerning the Highways
for the amendment and preservation
of the Highways.
