Tothill Fields Inclosure Bill

Determinations concerning the same to be made as aforesaid in
and by such Award or Order respectively shall conclude all
Persons interested therein subject to such Appeal as is hereinafter
Provided.

§.20
Compelling Evidence

And be it further enacted that it shall and may
be lawful to and for the said Commissioners or Arbitrators from time
to time by writing under their stands to Summon any Person or
Persons to appear at their Place of Meeting at a Day and within
a time to be therein specified then and there to be examined
upon Oath or being a Quaker or Quakers upon Solemn Affirmation
touching any of the matters and things hereby submitted to the Examination
or Determination of the said Commissioners or Arbitrators
and if necessary to enquire the Production of all or any Deeds Papers
or writings in the Custody or Power of the same Person or
Persons respectively and to cause such Summons or Summonses
to be served by delivering a copy or copies thereof to the Person or
Persons to whom the same respectively shall be directed or by leaving
the same at the Place or Places of his her or their Residence And
that every Person to be summoned and who without having any
reasonable Excuse shall not appear in pursuance of such Summons
or shall refuse to be sworn or make Affirmation as the case may
require or to be examined (the reasonable Charges (if any) of his
or her attendance being first settled by the said Commissioners
or Arbitrators and paid or tendered to him or her) may on
Application made to the High Court of Chancery be proceeded
against in like manner as if such Summons had been a
Subpoena issued from the said Court and that it shall or may
be lawful to and for the said Commissioners or any three two or one
