Business, even the mere Man of Business
would be ashamed of false Logic
and bad English.
But waving the Form, let us proceed
to the Grounds of the Petition;
namely, — The Numbers of Scholars,
— and the many Inconveniences resulting
from the Distance between
the Boarding Houses and the School.
— I should be glad to know, — whether
there is any material Difference
between the Numbers now, and the
Numbers under the former Masters.
For if the Numbers for many
Years past have been nearly the same,
— the Inconveniences during that
Period were the same too: — So that
the present Master, in such Case,
would have no more to complain of
than his Predecessors. — And if the
Numbers have been increased under
his Administration (which surely should
