SIANS, unquestionable and irrepealable,—
it is humbly presumed,—
that, upon mature Deliberation, this
Act will appear, in many Instances,
more grievous than was at first apprehended;
and not likely to answer
the End proposed, which was
the Good of Westminster-School.
According to the best Enquiries
that could be made, above FOUR
HUNDRED Houses, instead of Three
Hundred (as before alledged), were
to be pulled down, and above a
THOUSAND Inhabitants turned loose,
to look for their Bread and Settlements
elsewhere. — Such was the
Use intended to be made by the
Powers bestowed and conveyed.
I hope it may humbly be affirmed, —
(without violating the great Respect
due to Parliament) that there were
