Causes of the calumny

§. Persuasion of the dangerousness of reform radicalism cause of it, and of the
vituperative expressions given to it.

That on a point of such extensive and vital importance a
point in comparison of which all others that are to be
found in the whole field of politics are as nothing
separately taken as next to nothing because collectively they are
all comprehended in it the matter in dispute should
on one side b without any exception be taken for
granted that in this case in preceding which in
every other case would be universally acknowledged to be
contrary to reason should have been so universally practical
has at times struck me as perhaps the most
extraordinary phenomenon that has ever yet presented itself
in the intellectual world.

Be it more or less extraordinary the solution of it
may I think to find in the following consideration
