As to money, in regard to this a hint has been already already given. By given by money
the sort of article thus denominated, no it would be exaggeration to say that any addition would be
made to the complicatedness of the operationdivision, or to the trouble and
responsibility of the Valuers and Partitioners. Long before No
sooner had any steps been seen taking towards any such division, the expectation became general that proposition been
making from division the persons in question being having power for at the same time
the Partitioner in question being understood to have powercarrying into effect no sooner were this seen, than the money in every shape would
already have taken its flight: metallic money, unless buried
out of the kingdom; paper money, or at least the value of it out of existence all metallic
money, alltogether all bullion; capable of being made into it, all p a plates of watches, such cases as were
of either of the noble metals noble metals: the goods exported with them
on left as above to help mend roads. For who, that could go with it
or get any thing for it abroad, would stay with it, to have it
taken from him at home? Weight for weight, the money
of that sort, which consists of promises to deliver money capable of being
converted into plate, would, however be useless not less become valuable than black letter
books and or books of prints or drawings.
