Radicalism not dangerous

III Experience
II Ireland

(6) Sheffield against Reform

These refinements however his Lordship disdains to use
"Not the advantage of the many but that of the few is what
on every question throughout the whole field of government" should be considered. Such is
his theory his avowed theory as to what ought to be, as to
what is right in government — his openly avowed theory.

But by the same arithmetic not the advantage of the few
but that of the one should be considered: and thus we have
for his Lordship's pattern country, and government Spain or
Mexico, or the Assocuti Monarchy, and for our duty the whole duty of man
passive obedience and non-resistance with prostration of understanding
and will according to the Be his Lordship if London
fix a security for it.
