Punishment – Inscription in the body of blame a reproach

Advantages of
1. Misdecision the evil effects if any will be re vanish of
themselves. Appeal is continually carried before the tribunal
of public opinion and is continually heard and decided upon.

2. In magnitude the punishment can never fail of being
well proportioned

3. It is as inexpensive as possible.

Different degrees of blame may be expressed by using
appropriate phrases, and constitute so many degrees of
the punishment.
